Company History The Company was started in 1946 by the two partners Mr Holmbom and Mr Hedlund. The company was consequently called Holmbom&Hedlund. Until the first year of the 70:s the main activity's was sheet metal production and other metal production. With the increased focus on working environment and health problems for workers in the mechanical industry. In 1969 the company invented, and patended a flexible local extractor arm aimed for extracting welding fumes from worksites in the mechanical industry. This product was put in serial production in 1971. The sales was so successful so the company concentrated its effort on this range and in 1975 it took the name Fumex, the short version for the English Fume Extraction. The Company Today. Fumex is based in Skellefteċ, Sweden. The company is part of the Crenor group a privately owned holding company also located in Skellefteċ. Fumex has a sales office in Skara Sweden and a subsidiary in Movex Inc in Bath PA, USA. Products. Fumex products are local extractors fans and control for fixed installation as well as a set of mobile filter units for flexible application and is a complete range for use in: - The Mechanical Industry. - All types of laboratories. - Extraction of vehicle fumes. Business and markets. Fumex is today one of the leading manufacturer in the local extractors and mobile filter in Europe. Sales is today made in Sweden through an own sales force. in the US sales is made through an own subsidiary named Movex Inc. The products are, in the US and Canada, sold under the brand Movex® and through local partners. The main markets, outside Sweden and the US, is all countries in the European Union (EU) Several markets in the fare East and a few markets in the Middle East. |
